A Short report of Pashtoonkhwa Blood Bank

Pashtoonkhwa Blood Bank and welfare society was inaugurated by the Chairman of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) Mr. Mehmood Khan Achakzai on 24th March 1999. It serves the people, irrespective of language, color, religion, race and ethnicity since its first day. 

Pashtoonkhwa Blood Bank is supervised by three member of organizing committee (1) Syed Abdul Qadir Agha Advocate (Organizer) (2) Mr. Faqir Khushal Khan Kasi (3) Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai and other general committee members since its foundation date.

Pashtoonkhwa Blood Bank has donated millions of CCs pure, tested and healthy blood screened by Eliza method from Hepatitis B, C, HIV AIDs, MP and other diseases to all deserving patients.  

PBB has been providing pure, healthy, screened and tested blood to 200 registered thalassemia patients regularly, and also vaccinate scavenger and garbage picking children to be protected from Hepatitis B.  

 

Pashtoonkhwa Blood Bank is playing her front line role during natural disasters, when Abbotabad was shocked by deadly earthquake of the history PBB was the one from the most active blood donating banks to provide pure, tested and healthy Blood to the victims through local organizations. With the same energetic efforts PBB Ambulance Service, Doctors and Volunteers provided emergency services to the people of Ziarat at the time of deadly earth quack in 2008, PBB is providing services to the victims of terror attacks, bomb blasts, target killing and many other incidents.

 

Pashtoonkhwa Blood Bank has broadened her network to the cities of Loralai, Muslim Bagh, Pishin, Zhob and Chaman, PBB Quetta is having her ambulance service now three of the ambulances are in the service of needy people 24 hours a day, will be getting the ambulance service to the rest of her branches too.

All above mentioned services are financially managed through the help of general members’ contribution, charities, donations, Zakat, and cattle leather collected by the volunteer workers of the PBB on Eid ul Adha each year.
